Preparation Instructions:
1. Dissolve 56.4 g of M9 Minimal Salts 5X in 1L of distilled water.
2. Autoclave for 15 minutes at 121°C.
3. To prepare M9 minimal medium, aseptically dilute 200 ml of M9 Minimal Salts 5X concentrate with 800 ml of sterile water.
4. Add 20 ml of sterile 1M glucose and 2 ml of sterile 1M magnesium sulfate to prepare 1L of M9 minimal medium.
5. Optionally, add 0.1 ml of 1M sterile calcium chloride and supplement with appropriate amino acids.
Storage: Store at room temperature in a cool, dry area.
